You’ll see that you need pretty unusual accessories to make this jewelry. But it is always worthwhile to prepare these things. This glass pendant is not only suitable for handicraft enthusiasts of all levels, but you can give it away as well, for example on a necklace.
Bastelunterlage, eg old newspaper
1 pack of colorless decorative glass stones
Magazine (s) of your choice
colorless, white and black nail polish
Glitter nail polish (optional)
Black permanent marker (optional)
First, prepare your desktop. This should be as insensitive as possible, so it does not matter if you later nail polish or glue.
Next, search the magazines for designs that you want to use as a background for your later artworks. Note: These must match the size of the diameter of your glass stones. Of course, for example, colorful fashion magazines are particularly suitable for the search because you will find in them a particularly large selection of colors and patterns. To be able to work unhindered, it is best to cut out the selected illustrations over a large area.
Then you take a glass stone and paint it on the flat side generously with the colorless nail polish . If you want it a little bit more exclusive, you can also use varnish with glitter for this step.
Then glue the painted side to the pattern you have chosen. Repeat this procedure with some stones.
Now you can put this “glue-construction” aside. It takes a long time to dry. If you want to be on the safe side, you will wait more than 24 hours before tackling Part 2. It starts with cutting off the excess paper around the stone.
To fix it on the back of the glass, you now take a white or black nail polish, depending on whether the pattern glued on the stone is light or dark. This will paint the paper on the back. Instead of the black paint, you can also use a permanent marker for a dark background .
In the following step, the pretty stone becomes a pendant: For this you take a paperclip and bend it on one side. The protruding piece you pinch either with a small pliers or if necessary with the scissors.
At one end of the clamp, you attach one of the split rings . With liquid adhesive, you then glue the clip on the back of the stone, so that the end of the split ring protrudes a little over the glass. Now it’s time again: wait and let it dry.
Now the gem is finally finished! By the way: The split-ring eyelet serves that you later thread a tape and thus can make a necklace out of the pendant.
Depending on the pattern and colors, the stones can look very different.
Even in noble green and black makes the decorative glass outstanding.
Well, then go to Stein, magazine and paint! You will not get to see any instructions for a creative cleavage eye-catcher, bracelet pendant or earring every day.
