A window, which is exposed to many onlookers, should be best-but not light-tight. And that’s exactly what you can do yourself. And this beautiful and practical decoration is even easily removable, so it is also ideal for rental apartments. The idea for this visual protection of the DIY brand came from the British blogger Annabel Vita , who did not want curtains and was looking for another way to protect privacy in the bedroom. According to her experience, the whole procedure lasts just one hour. A treat for friends of practical and easy life hacks.
You need this:
2 tablespoons of corn starch (Mondamin)
2 tablespoons of cold water
350 ml of boiling water
Enough tip to cover the desired area of the window
That’s how it works:
Step 1
Stir the adhesive. To do this, first mix the starch with the cold water. Mix well and then pour in the boiling water. Again mix to a uniform mass and let cool.
Step 2
Cut the top. Cut the point so that it covers exactly the part of the window that you want to have opaque.
Step 3
Coat the window with a broad brush with the starch adhesive. Make a uniform layer on the glass. Then put the tip on it. Then add a little thicker layer of glue to the top and let it dry well.
The result is just beautiful and no prying eyes can penetrate through the lace fabric!
The sunlight is still in the room and you can enjoy the rays in peace …
If you ever want to undress or feel like getting a new window look, you can simply wet the top with hot water and peel off. The remains of the starch can be removed with very hot water (wear gloves!) And a sponge.
An ingenious trick that is not only unbeatable cheap and practical, but also beautiful! Share this idea with everyone you know and save one or another inhabitant of a ground floor.
