Everyone has them at home: rubber bands! Either the useful rings lie in the drawer, are stored in a screw-top jar, or collected in a place where they are soon forgotten. Most people do not know how practical stretch rubber is. Take a look at how many everyday problems he can help!
1) trouser closure
Have eaten too much and the pants are not working anymore? No problem: Guide a rubber band halfway through the buttonhole of the pants. Now pull one through the other eyelet of the rubber to form a loop, as seen in the following picture. The trouser button then lead through the loop, so that they can hold the waistband together.
Now all you need is a long top that covers the little repair.
2) Mobile phone holder
You want to watch a video on the phone, but have no hand free to hold it. If you have a bottle nearby, it does not matter: Hook two rubber bands together as shown in the following picture and stretch one side over the left or right front of the smartphone.
Then hold it with the screen facing the front of the bottle and tighten the rubber around the bottle to the other side of the phone. Fix it there with the help of the rubber. Now you have your own little TV tower.
3) Brush off
Especially if you use broad brushes to brush, it is extremely annoying to always have to free them from excess paint on the edge of the bucket. In addition, you just too easily spill. Therefore simply span a stronger rubber band around the bottom of the bucket and top.
Now you can just paint the paintbrushed paintbrush on it.
4) spoon holder
You want to lean a spoon at the edge of the pot, but it keeps slipping in? There is a simple solution: Wrap a rubber band around the top of the dipper and you can lean on the cutlery without any problems.
5) Anti-slip attachment
There are hangers that seem to be misconstructions, because no garment really sticks to it. To prevent the fabric from slipping off the hook, you can wrap a rubber band around the hanger on each side. If you then hang up the clothes, she will not slip down.
6) Turn-up aid
The trick is for screw caps of all kinds and is as ingenious as it is simple: If a closure is too hard to open, try again after you’ve wrapped a rubber band. Now the task should be much easier.
7) Auxiliary eraser
Are you drawing or making notes and wanting to fix something, then you do not need an eraser. A rubber band wound around the finger is enough to remove pencil traces from the paper.
And again, an item from everyday life whose potential is too often underestimated. Maybe you even think of more uses for the inconspicuous ring?
You can find even more ingenious tricks, projects, household tips and ideas in our new book, which you can order here .
